TOPIC: LESSONS FROM SAUL AND DAVID: Hidden Strategy/Weapon (16)
One Year Bible Reading:
2 King 1 - 3, John 8: 48 - 59.
MEMORY VERSE:
Matthew 11:12.
"12. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force."
BIBLE READING:
1 Samuel 17:48-49.
"48. And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. 49. And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth."
Thinking Point:
Learn to be private with your strategy. Make your weapon secretive to the enemy.
This week shall be a wonderful week for us, victories in all our endeavours in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
The mystery of God about every battle is the ability to face each battle with a different strategy. If you can remember our devotion message on the "God of Diverse way", (1) and many more, you will discover that our God doesn't repeat His strategies in battle and solving our problems. Likewise every battle has a different strategy and the beauty of every battle is to make your strategy secretive to the enemy. When God reveals how to defeat your enemy you don't go around telling them, no, you only reveal it to your trusted soldiers when going to the battlefield in order words, your enemy will be clueless of your weapon against him. You don't go around bragging to your enemy, no, that information is meant for you. The goal is to come out against your enemy unprepared.
This was the strategy David used in defeating Goliath. Goliath only saw the stick in David's hands, not the stones in his Shephard bag and the sling in his hand. He was clueless about the weapon that would destroy him. David kept his weapon secret from Goliath which later brought him down. Brethren, you are about to change your work because you got a better place, why trust your colleagues to reveal the information to them? You're having issues with your spouse. Must you make all your issues public? God gave you instructions on what to do to be liberated and you are spreading it around, do you know the relationship between your friends and your enemy? Be wise to keep your weapon secret. Learn to act surprisingly not in a predictable way. Goliath never knew David had five (5) smooth stones in his Shephard's bag until the stone brought him down. Learn to act in secret except those who need to know and be of help to you. The soldiers of Israel knew little about the sling and the stone, not all the soldiers. Be more private. The strategy in your home should remain in your home until it's accomplished. David was so wise not to give Goliath a clue of his weapon, hide your weapon from your enemy.
