Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 26, Day 6, Friday, 27th June, 2025 TOPIC: ASKING, SEEKING AND KNOCKING: Paying Back (6)

TOPIC: ASKING, SEEKING AND KNOCKING: Paying Back (6)

One Year Bible Reading:
Nehemiah 7 - 8, Acts 13: 1 - 12.

MEMORY VERSE:
Matthew 7:7.
"7. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:"

BIBLE READING:
Luke 6:38.
"38. Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Thinking Point:
Everyone we’ve helped will not pay us, only God rewards in full through the channel He chooses.

A wonderful weekend to you all, we bless the name of the Lord for the strength for the week. One of the confusing things that is affecting humans on earth today is the mentality that ‘I once helped him/her and he/she's supposed to reward me’. ‘I’m not being rewarded for my generosity.’ ‘They’ve left me when I needed their help’, all this mentality isn't what God promises us. Yes as humans, when we are in need we run to those we've once helped but that wasn't God's intention. This is the truth, not all those we’ve blessed in the past will bless us in our difficult time. God didn't assign them to help us, He always has a way to reward everyone who responds to the cry of others. Yes, few may remember you and attend to your cry, reward your generosity in time past but hundreds will take their eyes off your needs.

Psalms 41:1
"1. Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble."

Proverbs 19:17.
"17. He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will HE pay him again."

God is the rewarder of every help and assistant rendered, if they remembered you and helped you later in life it's a plus, it's a gratitude, that doesn't mean God won't bless you from somewhere else, but to depend on that same channel alone is limiting what God has in stock for you. Every help rendered has a record in heaven that was why Jesus said,
"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."

One person you helped can't give you Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, no, that was why He continued by saying, "Shall MEN give into your bosom" meaning many persons are ordained by God not those you've helped alone. Are you telling me it has always been those you've helped in life that God has sent to your path in challenging times? No, they may help or assist but many you've never met in life have been sent your way one time or the other. Enough of expecting those we've blessed to bless us in return, to respond to our cry, the scripture said,
"Looking up to Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith, Hebrew 12:2, not looking up to men we've helped.

Lastly, this is not a motivational message to close your eyes to those who have one time helped you, wipe away your tears, and attend to your needs, no, we are not called to be heartless to others. Remember everyone who has once helped you in life, those who contribute to your growth, look back and pay them as you can because many may not remember them the way you think. Stretch out your hands to those who have once done that to you and your reward will be from MEN not from one source. God bless you and have a wonderful weekend.

Good morning, and God bless you.
