Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 27, Day 2, Monday, 30th June, 2025 TOPIC: FAITHFULNESS Precedes FULFILMENT: Consistency (2)

TOPIC: FAITHFULNESS Precedes FULFILMENT: Consistency (2)

One Year Bible Reading:
Esther 1 - 4, Acts 15: 1 -21.

MEMORY VERSE:
Nehemiah 9:7-8
"7. You are the lord God, who chose Abram and brought him from Ur of the Chaldeans and renamed him Abraham. 8. When he had proved himself faithful, you made a covenant with him to give him and his descendants the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites, and Girgashites. And you have done what you promised, for you are always true to your word."

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 17:1.
"1. And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect."

Thinking Point:
Walking with God consistently enhances the fulfilment of His promises.

God can do whatever He promises to do faster than we think if we can be consistent in our walk with Him. Obedience to God's instructions shouldn't be when it pleases us but consistently. God was speaking in the book of
Revelation 3:15-16, saying,
"15. I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth."

God wants our walk with him to be daily not once a while, not when it is convenient but always, not at our will but His own will. Consistency is that step the God desires from us.

God visited Abraham again when He was ninety-nine years old to demand his consistency. He was trying to tell him of his raising and falling in obedience to His word. He made known that He was not qualified yet for the fulfilment of His promise because, if he was ready he wouldn't have listened to the alternative advice given by Sarah, his wife. He would have stuck to God's promises. May I let you know this, if Abraham hadn't responded to Sarah's request the promise of Isaac wouldn't have been that far, Sarah would have beget Isaac before she was ninety years old. When our walk is not consistent with God we delay His promises, we push forward what He intended to do for us. We make Him weak at helping us, so whenever we fall and raise we delay the fulfilment of those promises. Yes, it's not easy to get it right at once but we can be cautious of it. We can start all over and walk with Him diligently and follow His foot step by obedience to His instructions. It's not that His promise must stay longer, no but until we are proved before it comes to pass. My prayers for everyone today is that, may we remain consistent in our walk with God in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

Good morning, and God bless you.
