Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 28, Day 5, Thursday, 10th July, 2025 TOPIC: WHO IS A PREACHER? Your Hand Work (5)

TOPIC: WHO IS A PREACHER? Your Hand Work (5)

One Year Bible Reading:
Job 22 - 24, Acts 20: 17 - 38.

MEMORY VERSE:
Mark 16:15.
"15. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."

BIBLE READING:
Colossians 3:23-24.
"23. And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24. Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ."

Thinking Point:
Whatever you are doing is a platform to preach the Gospel.

Beloved of God, the Lord is faithful to give us another wonderful day, to Him be the glory forever more.

We have established the fact that, preaching is not meant for the Fivefold ministry nor ends at the pulpits. We are all called to preach. Today, we focus on preaching through the works of our hands. Many try to separate "church" from "work" not knowing that the church is a place where you learn how you behave in the workplace. Where we work is a place to preach, don't get me wrong, we've established the fact that preaching doesn't entail carrying the Bible always. Preaching is how we handle our work, how we attend to people, how we go about our duties, that is preaching. Do people see you and call you a Christian in your office? Then, you are preaching.

Apostle Paul said,
"23. And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;"

Not because of the salary but to preach the gospel of Christ. Your hand work, business and job should reflect the life of Jesus. You don't need to take a bribe before doing what you are paid to do in the office. You're not supposed to be a stumbling stone to who you are supposed to serve, no, you are to serve to please God where you work. Your boss may not be friendly or too bossy, but you are serving God not him. When you hold onto your self esteem in your place of work not frustrating anyone or not being too strict, you are preaching the gospel of Christ. When you show mercy and sympathy to others, many can follow you to your God. You may not need to raise the issue of the God you serve but your services will draw men to Christ, then you can be called a preacher. So, the way you handle duties in your place of work, are you preaching Christ or preaching against Christ? Do men complain about your attitude and behaviour in your place of work? Can men follow you to the God you serve? If someone hasn't commended your service in your workplace then you've not been preaching what you are taught in church. Your attitude in your workplace should define you as a preacher of the Gospel.

Good morning, and God bless you.
