Thinking Point:
To Be Still means remembering the promises of God to you.
Happy weekend to everyone who has been following us this week, may you find rest and stillness in all your endeavours in Jesus name, Amen.
I desire that we all take some minute to read through today's Bible reading solemnly again and again to digest the word and live in it. This Psalms of the Bible was written by King David. Verses one (1) and two (2) was the testimony of David, but from verse three (3) down to eight (8) David was explaining what God will do to those who look up to Him, how God cherished them. He was building our confidence in the God we trust, in other words, He was simply saying, if you look up to this God that I serve, you will be still and know that all is well. To Be Still is to remember every promise of God despite what we are going through. Our God will not slumber even when it seems we're not hearing His voice or He seems silent, He is there watching over us. When it seems the arrow is flying towards us, He's there diverting them away. When the battles look tough what we need to do is to remember what He says in His word, "he that keepeth thee will not slumber" and relax that the Man of War is here with me. Trust Him more, praise Him more, pray and fast more and remind Him of all His promises you can remember because He magnifies His word above His name, Ps. 138:2. Be still and recite His word and He will respond to it.
Be still and know that God isn’t far away from us. He is by our side but we look past Him always as if He isn't there so He is waiting until we are still and call out to Him. Let us read through Psalm 121 again as we round up this topic this week and make it our daily recitation to practice being still before God.
Good morning, and God bless you.
