One Year Bible Reading:
Psalms 19 - 20, Acts 26:19 - 32.

2 Corinthians 5:17
17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

BIBLE READING:
Ephesians 4:23
23 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. (NLT)

Thinking Point:
The first difference between being a believer and an unbeliever is our thought.

As believers, what makes the difference is what goes on in our heart spontaneously and consistency. How we act on what we think goes a long way to prove if we are believers or living as unbelievers. Apostle Paul was so interested in our thoughts to the extent of appealing to us in Romans 12: 2 say,
"2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Let's get this straight, he wasn't speaking to the unbelievers but believers, who have accepted Christ as their Lord and saviour, so we can't say it does not matter because, "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: .. Proverbs 23:7. Your thoughts govern your actions which judge your ways before the Lord. What will allow in our heart is a pointer to who we will become. What do you think concerning others, is it godly? Apostle Paul said, "let the spirit renew your thoughts and attitude". To live as a new creation our thought must align with that of the spirit. Our thought must be what glorifies God daily. The thoughts will come but how do we respond to it? Do we reject it or give it a thought?

It was the thought in the heart of the devil that sent him out of the presence of God.
"12. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13. For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:" Isaiah 14:12-13.

Until our thoughts align with that of the spirit we are not believers yet. We need to fight our thoughts daily. Selfish thought, self-centred thought, wishing others evil or bad luck, thinking of cheating others and many more need to be dealt with within us. We must avoid it in order to prove that we are genuine believers. Let the spirit of God guides our thought and we will live as believers.
