2 Corinthians 5:17
17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

BIBLE READING:
Ephesians 4:29
29 Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. 

Thinking Point:
Let your word build not break, make and not mar other people.

David was praying to God when he said, 
"14. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer."- Psalms 19:14

The prayer of David was for his word and the thought of his heart to be pleasing to God which should also be the attitude of a believer. When the words of our mouth do not please the Lord it can't bless lives. Nothing hurts humans like spoken words. To discourage or motivate a man it's through the word. Foul and abusive words are part of the words that should die with the world. It shouldn't be found in a new creation. Our words must be from a changed mind, a renewed mind, with a new thought which will influence lives better. 

A new creation should utter words that draw men to Christ not words that push men away from God. As a leader your words should not demoralize your workers. What differentiates a good leader from a boss is our words. Our utterances should be felt before uttering it to others. Think of how you would feel if this same word is uttered to you. When our words become a blessing to others, then our word is pleasing to God. Remember that our words, as believers, should be spirit and life not spirit and death. The power of the tongue is the most powerful. The way we use it proves if we are believers or not. Let your word be a word that pleases the Lord.
