Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 30, Day 7, Saturday, 26th July, 2025 TOPIC: NEW CREATION TOOL: Grieve not The Holy Spirit (7)

TOPIC: NEW CREATION TOOL: Grieve not The Holy Spirit (7)

One Year Bible Reading:
Psalms 35 - 37, Romans 1: 18 - 32.

MEMORY VERSE:
2 Corinthians 5:17
17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

BIBLE READING:
Ephesians 4:30-31.
"30. And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption. 31. Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior."

Thinking Point:
Grieving the Holy Spirit is consistently doing what is wrong without repentance.

It's a pleasant weekend to you, may the hand of the Lord rest upon you in Jesus name, Amen.
It's been six (6) days we've been discussing tools of New creation, what the saint needs to possess continuously to remain in God. We started with Renewing our Thoughts, Holiness and Righteousness, Avoid Lies, Controlling Anger, Not being idle and our Utterances. Doing any of these things continuously without repentance grieves the Holy Spirit. When we are careless with our attitude and disobey His instructions we get Him angry even with His patience. Grieving the Holy Spirit consistently is neglecting His directives, hurting other saints and living a life of reproach to God.

As believers, the Holy Spirit is our instructor, our keeper, advocate, comforter, counsellor, helper and intercessor. He rendered all these services daily to all saints but when we choose to do things our way without considering His feelings it grieves Him and when He is grieved we lack all these benefits we are enjoying. When He is grieving and refusing to speak to us we become confused and deserted. Tracing our path back to Him is what we should seek after. We need to seek forgiveness and reconcile ourselves to Him. Do you feel emptiness and feel He's not with you any longer? Maybe you think He's silent? It's time to humble yourself and turn to Him, saying, "Holy Spirit, I am sorry for grieving you, I come to reconnect, have mercy on me and take me back in Jesus name, Amen. It's time to walk side by side with the Holy Spirit again. It's time to enjoy His partnership again since He's our companion.

Good morning, and God bless you.
