Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 29, Day 2, Monday, 14th July, 2025 TOPIC: BE STILL: We Belong To God (2)

TOPIC: BE STILL: We Belong To God (2)

One Year Bible Reading:
Job 36 - 39, Acts 22: 22 - 23 : 1 - 11

MEMORY VERSE:
John 14:1
"1. Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me."

BIBLE READING:
Isaiah 43:1-2.
"1. But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; THOU ART MINE. 2. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee."

Thinking Point:
Be still means, Don't allow fear from within you, you belong to God.

Glory!
May this week answer our doubt of God's work in Jesus name, favour as we step out today in search of our daily bread in Jesus name, Amen.
Be still is the word of the Lord concerning us this week. Today, the word "Be still" simply means; Don't welcome fear within because we belong to God. As a responsible father and mother, will you see your children going a rough path knowing how to rescue such a child and not respond? No matter how disobedient the child may be, you will show such a way out and rescue him/her. Such a child also will have that confidence that my parents are watching and they can't allow such evil to happen to me, that is what God is saying to someone today. You may be wandering around, lost in the wilderness, confused about the next step to take. He is saying to you this morning, 'Be Still, am around. Don't allow fear from within to control you, because you are mine and I will rescue you.'

The question we often ask ourselves is why will God allow me to go through the rivers, water, and fire when He can save me from all? Listen, He is fond of testing and boasting about us most of the time like He did with Job. Do you remember how God was watching Job even when his friends visited him and claimed that he was a sinner? But do you know God never called Job a sinner? He was never punished for any wrong doing. He kept saying it and repeating it and never rebuked God in his words. Beloved, you may be the Job of our generation, Be still in that situation. You may be going through that which will bring out your best and make you the testimony of generations, try to be still and remember you are owned by God, He can't leave nor forsake you, that is why He is saying, "Don't let your heart be troubled, trust in God and trust also in Me (Jesus)." Be still means don't allow the inner fear to conquer you, for God is with you always. Go in this might this morning and remain still in all occurrences.

Good morning, and God bless you.
