TOPIC: A WET WOOD: WET WOOD CAN STILL GENERATE FIRE (3)

"14 However, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, search for me, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear their prayer from heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their country."
Thinking Point:
A wet wood only needs to be dried in order to be able to ignite fire.

It is good to know that wet wood is not a waste, it can still be useful for fire. As a wet wood, which discovered his/her irrelevance, there can still be a way to be useful and become the burning wood for God. The important thing is to realize you are a wet wood and can't generate the required fire on the altar for God. Accepting this fact is the foundation to being useful to God. Realization of yourself, believing that you are created to be better than who you are presently is what can make a wet wood become a dried wood for God.
The Lord said "If my people, who are called by my name" meaning, those who know God. God is speaking to the believers who are not living like one. You might be close to the altar but your heart is far from the church. You're being called a child but you live as a servant. God is referring to the wet wood who thinks they are the dry wood. God said, if you will realize this by humbling yourself, come to Him and start a new life with God, make Him your controller then, He will change you from the wet wood to dry wood. He will rule and reign in you. You will become a vessel for His Glory.
You will have to change your thinking; your mindset, and then your focus will be on God and not on pleasing men. Your determination will be to show forth the glory of the Lord in your marriage, environment, ministry, place of work, with your colleagues and family. No one was and is created by God to be useless. There is a purpose for your life that you're yet to discover. God never created you to be a liability, No. Go back to Him, He will make you whom He created you to be. You can still be that dry wood burning for God on the altar. All you need to do is to present yourself back to God to dry the wetness in you, renew your life and draw you closer to Himself. That you are a wet wood doesn't mean you can't be useful, you are still useful if you will humble yourself and surrender to God today, you will become a vessel to honour, dry wood ready to burn for God. It's my prayer that the mind to be humble and rededicate ourselves to God will rest upon us in Jesus name, Amen.
