TOPIC: Why Going To Church?: Fullness of Joy (7)

One Year Bible Reading:
Psalm 120 - 127, 1 Corinthians 8.

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalm 122:1
“1. I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the LORD.”

BIBLE READING:
Psalm 16:11
“11. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Thinking Point:
Fullness of Joy can only be found in God's Presence.

The faithfulness of our Lord has brought us to the end of this week again, we return all glory to God our father, in Jesus name, Amen.
We have been studying "Why Going To Church?" this week and today, I want you to know that the source of Joy is the presence of God. Happiness can be found anywhere but fullness of Joy comes from God's presence. No matter what is produced by men to give joy, the joy doesn't last, it's always temporal but being in the presence of God, digging through His word and praising Him brings and adds to your joy. David speaking in our Bible reading today, said in your presence is fullness of Joy. The real joy that has no end is found and obtainable in the presence of God. That is why you see many rich and wealthy people without joy in their heart. Wealth isn't joy but happiness to get what you want with ease but Joy is a feeling without an attachment.

Listen sir and ma, wealth, power, riches, fame and position can't get you Fullness of Joy, it's in the presence of God. Smoking, drinking, marijuana, flirting around with men or women, clubbing, rituals, thuggery can't give you joy.

Nehe. 8:10 says,
Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. "Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

It's only in God that you will find Joy and this Joy is accessible in His presence. That was why King David said,  
"1. I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the LORD.” because there is fullness of joy in His presence.

I pray for you today, as you appear before the Lord timely, you will enjoy all the benefits of being in His presence in Jesus Mighty Name, amen.
