BIBLE READING:
Habakkuk 2:2-4.
"2. Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. 3. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. 4. “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith."
Thinking Point:
Lack of documentation is the reason for forgetfulness.
This week, our story will change for good in Jesus' name, Amen. There's a saying that, "The faintest pen is sharper than the sharpest brain". When you appear before God without writing material, it simply means you are not prepared for instruction. It's Just like a student going to the classroom or lecture hall without a pen and book believing he has a magnetic brain, it's not going to work that way, you need to write down His instructions.
Prophet Habakkuk was asking God some questions and was waiting for a response, the first word from God was, "Write the Vision". God said write down what I am about to say, document every word I will be saying to you. God himself wrote the first instruction to the children of Israel called, "The Ten Commandment, Ex. 24:12. He is a God that deals with writing instructions. He wants His children to always have a copy of what He is saying per time per chance. How can you be listening to lectures from God's servant and you don't have any writing material? What you write is what you study. Every message is unfolding (explanation, revealing and exposing) God's word in a simpler way. But when you don't have any writing materials, you can't remember what was spoken to you by God's servant.
When we appear in God's presence, go with your writing material, jot down new things you are hearing from God's servant. Note down those prayer points to re-pray while alone. Note down those changes you need to apply to your life. Make sure you are writing fresh things you are hearing from the messages, prophecy and prayer points. By doing so, you begin to know what to do, and you'll enjoy His presence.
God said to Joshua, Joshua 1:8
“8. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
What you jotted is to be meditated upon day and night till it becomes a part of you. When you don't jot you tend to forget 80% of the instructions to listen to.Get a New Jotter and pen to jot the messages of every service.
Good morning, and God bless you.
