TOPIC: Hindrances In Church: Lack of Faith (5)

“1. I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the LORD.”
BIBLE READING:
James 1:6-8.
“6. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”
Thinking Point:
Going to God's presence with requests but without faith is an exercise in futility.
A blessed morning to you, things shall fall in pleasant places for you in Jesus mighty, Amen.
Faith is a critical tool to enjoy God's presence. Without faith, remember, no one can please the Lord, according to Hebrews 11:6, which says,
“6. But without faith it is impossible to please him:...”
When we appear before God without faith we leave his presence without fruit. Our faith is what activates the miracle of God. Yes, you prayed fervently, cried and sweated but you lack faith in what you are saying, there can't be a result to show. Some may believe but have little doubt on how God will do it? When He will do it and if He will do it. James said,
“7, For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.,
When you doubt God's word you kill or delay the harvest He has made available for you. In the presence of God there is liberty but it can only be accessed with and in faith.
In 2 Kings 7:1-2, we saw what the lack of Faith cost the right hand man of the king,
“1. Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria. 2. Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, "Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.”
This is what lack of faith can cause in the presence of God. The presence of God is where faith is built not where faith should be killed. Appearing before God without faith denies one of His prepared blessings from God. Go to Him with faith regardless of what the devil is presenting to you, let your faith soar above it for in the presence of God there is liberty.
