Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 32, Day 6, Friday, 8th August, 2025 TOPIC: A NEW BEGINNING: Keep Starting Again (6)

TOPIC: A NEW BEGINNING: Keep Starting Again (6)

One Year Bible Reading:
Psalm 79 - 81, Romans 11: 1 - 12.

MEMORY VERSE:
Romans 8:28.
"28. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 26:19-22.
"19. And Isaac's servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of springing water. 20. And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac's herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him. 21. And they digged another well, and strove for that also: and he called the name of it Sitnah. 22. And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land."

Thinking Point:
A new beginning is a result of not giving up, keep re-trying, re-fire and non-stop.

It gladdens my heart to tell you that, ‘Every no is the beginning of another yes’ and ‘Every end is the beginning of another beginning’. Everything ends when you put a full stop instead of trying again. Every blockage should be a motivation for progress not a hindrance. A new beginning is created by you and backed up by God. Our consistency is what moves God to crown our effort. When you take a "No" for an answer and hold onto it, you've succeeded in killing your new beginning. When a project fails that shouldn't be the end of it, but a motivation to change principle, change idea, look elsewhere for a solution but don't kill the project yourself.

Isaac, the father of Jacob and Esau, experienced opposition when his servants were digging well in Gerar. Whenever a well is dug, the herdsmen of Gerar strive with them and claim the well. But Isaac and his servant kept digging all over again after changing their location. These were done many times until they dug another well and found water and the herdsmen of Gerar gave up on claiming it, and Isaac named it "Rehoboth". Without starting again and again God can't make a room for us to call our Rehoboth. How many times did you fail and quit? How many times have you tried to get things right before giving up? It didn't work doesn't mean it won't work, it simply means try it another way, try it another place, get more information and try again. Go back to that project, dust it, check why it failed and start all over, for God to give you the idea there's what He wants to bring out of it. Create the new beginning you desire in your career, start as if you've never done it before and move on. Just keep trying and you will be glad you did.

Good morning, and God bless you.
