Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 32, Day 7, Saturday, 9th August, 2025 TOPIC: A NEW BEGINNING: It Starts From God (7)

TOPIC: A NEW BEGINNING: It Starts From God (7)

One Year Bible Reading:
Psalm 82 - 84, Romans 11: 13 - 36.

MEMORY VERSE:
Romans 8:28.
"28. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

BIBLE READING:
Isaiah 43:19
"19. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."

Thinking Point:
No new beginning without God's involvement, it all starts from God.

Happy weekend, may our coming in today be a season of harvest in Jesus name, amen.

The source of everything is God. Every dream, vision, desire, accomplishment can't be possible with God's involvement. When God is not involved, a new beginning will be a fallacy. But it is the intention of God to give us a new beginning no matter our past failure or accomplishments. He is delighted to make our today better than yesterday. He glory in seeing us going higher and higher and from glory to glory as His children. So therefore, the desire for a new beginning is in line with God's purpose for us but we can't do it without Him. Apostle Paul said, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. - Philippians 4:13" meaning, without God I can do nothing. To start a new beginning we need Jesus, we need God to show us what to invest in, what to create and how to go about it.

How do we go about it?
1. By waiting on Him.
"31. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. - Isaiah 40:31".

Waiting on Him for divine strength and speed. Waiting on him in fasting, prayer and listening to what He has to say, then He will energize us to run the race ahead of us.

2. Trusting His word.
"5. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7.Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. - Proverbs 3:5-7.”
Stop believing in your ability, it has failed you and will still fail you except you trust in God. Relying on His word and a new beginning will emerge.

3. Be Humble always.
James 4:6 & 10
"6. But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. 10. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up."

Be humble before God and men. Don't be too big to respect and honour others, God hates a proud man but loves the humble. He will always make things easier for the humble.

God intends to give us a new beginning only if we will depend on Him and follow His command. His mind set is what we are desiring if we are children of God.
