Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 38, Day 7,Saturday, 20th September, 2025 TOPIC: THE INITIAL WORD OF GOD: What He Says About You (7)

TOPIC: THE INITIAL WORD OF GOD: What He Says About You (7)

One Year Bible Reading:
Isaiah 3 - 5,
Galatians 4:21 - 5:1 - 15

MEMORY VERSE:
Numbers 23:19.
"19. God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"

BIBLE READING:
Jeremiah 29:11.
"11. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

Thinking Point:
Do you Know the mind of God concerning you?

A pleasant morning to everyone, I wish you a day full of restless joy in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Are you aware of God's initial word concerning you? Do you know the mind of God for you? What does God say about your existence on this planet? Knowing this sets a pedestrian to which we walk on. First of all, the mind of God concerning you and I is for us to live in Dominion. According to the creation of Man, the initial mind of God for creating us is to dominant.
"26. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion ..." Genesis 1:26.
We are created to be in charge of all powers, authorities and thrones. Everything created is meant to submit to us.
His mind for us is for good and not for evil, to give us an expected end. To live a life that brings Glory to Him wherever we find ourselves, Jeremiah 29:11. Also, we are to live above all forms of lack, sicknesses and diseases. We are not created to experience poverty but to enjoy wealth in the realm of God, Exodus 23:25. Above all, we are made kings and queens, princes and princesses, we are called the Holy Nation, royal priests to show forth the Glory of God, 1 Peter 2:9. These and more are the initial word of God concerning us. But are we living according to His mind? Then why?
1. Ignorance of His intentions for us, what we don't know we can’t enjoy.
Hosea 4:6.
"6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."
Lack of knowledge brings God's rejection.

2. Pride. We may be with God, know His mind about us but still live in pride - speaking and declaring without acting.
2 Chronicles 7:14.
"14. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

3. Obedience to God's instructions.
Isaiah 1:19.
"19. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:"
The good of the land belongs to those who do as He says, not those who do as they wanted.
4. Seek the Lord. Our priority should be to seek God's will in all we do. According to Matthew 6:33,
"33. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
The way to all that man needs is by seeking God daily, seeking His will always, then all needs will be met.

It's my prayer that as we end this topic this week, that we will seek, discover and walk in God's initial words concerning us in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Good morning, and God bless you.
