TOPIC: THE NAME JESUS: A Strong Tower

Isaiah 25 - 26,
Ephesians 4:17 - 5: 1 - 2.

MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 9:6.
"6. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

BIBLE READING:
Proverbs 18:10.
"10. The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe."

Thinking Point:
The Name Jesus is a tower for those who desire to be in God.

Welcome to the last Sunday of September, our deliveries for this month will not be withheld in Jesus name, Amen.
This week, we are studying the name Jesus, yes, the name above all other names given to men from above. This name is well known throughout the world including other religions. The name Jesus wasn't given by the parent but was pre-given before His birth. Over hundred years before the birth of Jesus Christ he was being awaited by the prophets of old. His name carried a lot of responsibility which He perfected before leaving the earth. We shall be considering some of those duties in His name, and today we are considering the name Jesus as a strong tower.

The name of Jesus carries every power and authority of God. The name Jesus is given by God to free us from every power of the devil here on earth because your victory on earth determines your access to the kingdom of God. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and saviour we have access to the strong tower, secret place of the most high. 

John 3:16-17.
"16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

Believing in the name Jesus gives us access to eternal life, which is the strong tower where we will be safe from every enticement of the devil here on earth and in heaven. The name Jesus is the strongest tower that preserves, protects and sustains every one who accepts the name, in this name, we are safe forever, Hallelujah. Are you a carrier of the name Jesus? Do you run to the name for safety or do you have other names you depend on? The name Jesus can't accommodate other names competing with Him, so every follower of every other god can be allowed into His strong tower, so decide on which name you will hold onto, Jesus or other names? The name Jesus is the only strong tower that saves those who run to Him.
