Thinking Point:
God grants our request when we pray in the name of Jesus.
A pleasant week full of all possibilities ahead of us in Jesus Name, Amen.
Our focus has been the Name Jesus, what the name carries, what the name can do and how to access it. We discussed yesterday that the name is a strong tower which grants safety to everyone who runs in it. Today, our focus is, the name is a door to accessing our answers from God. When Jesus was on earth, He taught His disciples how to pray to the father. He prayed in the presence of His disciples, making declarations and casting out demons with the authority of God. He made known to the disciple the power they have access to. He showed them how powerful they will become if they will be His followers and ambassadors on earth. He later sent them out to preach the gospel by releasing power on them without asking. They tasted the power and felt excited, showing their joy as powers submitted to them, Luke 10:17.
When it was time for He to return and to handover to his disciples, He exposed them to the real source of power which is His name, Jesus. He began to make known details about Himself. He told them plainly, you have not asked anything in my name. My name will grant your request from God. Pray to God in my name, ask anything in the name of Jesus and it will be granted to you. Many still pray "In the name of Father, In the name of the Son and In the name of the Holy Spirit" Jesus never taught us that way, He said, "If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it". In whose name do you ask from God? How do you table your request before God? The name Jesus is the only and right way to get our request answered by God. We are privileged to have access to the name. When next you pray, pray in the name of Jesus not through or by the name of Jesus, but in the name of Jesus and God will grant your requests.
Good morning, and God bless you.
