TOPIC: THE NAME JESUS: Names Above All Names (3)

Isaiah 29 - 30
Ephesians 5: 22 - 6:1- 9.
MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 9:6.
"6. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
BIBLE READING:
Philippians 2:9-11
"9. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Thinking Point:
The most powerful name aside the name of God is Jesus.
Today, everything, human or situation that has a name, tormenting our lives shall surrender to the name of Jesus, Amen.
There are names to everything created. When God was done with creation, He called Adam to name everything and the scripture said,
"... and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof." Genesis 2:19. God created but Adam named all things. God didn't have to give the names because He has embedded in the man power to do all things right. Adam named His children and his children's children and they all follow suit and bear the name given to them. Throughout the generation God was seeking for a man, a name that will restore what Adam lost in the garden of Eden but none was found.
During the day of Prophet Isaiah, God gave a promise, pronounced a name that will bring man back to Himself. He defines what the name will connote, it shall be a name full of wonders, a name will bring counsel, it will be mighty and an everlasting name. God said responsibility shall rest upon his shoulder because He shall carry the peace of the whole earth. This prophecy awaits a man but none was found until Jesus answered and said , "send me". The angel visited Mary with the good news and gave her the name Jesus, Luke 1:31- 33.
Apostle Paul, through the revelation of God, gave us insight about a man named by God Himself, Jesus. He made known the qualities of this name Jesus, and He said,
1. The name is above every other name.
2. In this name, every knee bows, anything in heaven, earth and under the earth
3. Tongues will confess that the name is above their names.
Beloved, a name can be powerful or powerless depending on how we handle it. When you believe in the name Jesus, the name will do what He's capable of. This name rules and reigns above everything that has a name. I don't want to know what your situation is called at this moment as long as it has a name, I decree and declare, in the name of Jesus, all situations bow in our lives. Every name tormenting our lives, families, our health, work and ministry today, the name of Jesus overpower them all in Jesus name, Amen. This name will be seen in our lives. It's a name given and empowered by God Himself, so therefore every other name given by man, doctors, wizards, authorities and sicknesses bow to this name, In Jesus name, Name. Go in this faith this morning.
