Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 38, Day 2, Monday, 15th September, 2025 TOPIC: THE INITIAL WORD OF GOD: No Death (2)

TOPIC: THE INITIAL WORD OF GOD: No Death (2)

One Year Bible Reading:
Ecclesiastes 9 - 12,
Galatians 1: 1 - 14

MEMORY VERSE:
Numbers 23:19.
"19. God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"

BIBLE READING:
John 11:1, 4, 43.
"1. Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha."
"4. When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby."
"43. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth."

Thinking Point:
Whatever God says in the beginning is what He will do at the end, just believe Him.

This week will answer according to what He called it, it will be full of testimony and negative reports. His mind concerning us will be established in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Our focus this week is on the "Initial word of God", what God intended from the onset of every matter. God is the beginning and the end of all things, He starts and finishes every matter, that is why the scripture says, the end of everything is better than the beginning thereof. God decides from the beginning what the end will look like. He pronounces it to our hearing so we can know that He knows what He's about to do. For every man He called, He assures them of where He is taking them, He may not disclose what is in between the journey but He will always declare the end of everything. When is the beginning? That's when God assigns you a duty, when He speaks about what will happen ahead. When He shows up and gives His word about a matter or circumstance, that is the initial word of God and He will not stop until the word is fulfilled, may we receive grace to wait till the fulfilment of His initial word to us in Jesus name, Amen.

Jesus was informed about the sickness of Lazarus by his sister's, Mary and Martha. Jesus loved this family so much that they believed Jesus will hastened to come check on Lazarus but Jesus stayed back where He was and made the Initial statement concerning Lazarus, He said,
"This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby".
Four days later He made His way to the city and was welcomed with tears and mourners but He had something in mind, My initial statement was that "it wasn't for death but from the glory of God". He met Martha and Mary and still assured them Lazarus is not dead. I don't know that situation that's going contrary to the initial word of God to you. I am here to tell you that God's word will never fall, His word will surely come to pass. Jesus came around and implemented His initial word which was to bring Lazarus back to life. When you hold unto what God says and live by it, regardless of what the devil is presenting, you will surely see what God says. Anything is permitted to happen but they surrender to the initial word of God. I pray for you this morning, what God said concerning you and i will begin to manifest in our lives in Jesus name, Amen.

Good morning, and God bless you.
