TOPIC: THE GLORY OF GOD: His Dwelling Place (6)

One Year Bible Reading:
Jeremiah 33
Philemon 1 : 1 - 25

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 33:18
"18. And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.

BIBLE READING: 
Acts 7:55-56.
"55. But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, 56. And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God."

Thinking Point:
God's dwelling place is also the Glory of God.

It's another weekend with God's Glory over us in Jesus'mighty name, Amen.
We have been digging out what the glory of God means from the Bible. We are made to know that the personality of God is Glory. God is nothing less than a walking Glory because every part of Him reveals His glory. A carrier of fire can't dwell in water, nor be in a cold place, no, a carrier of fire will always dwell in fire. What am I saying, God of Glory resides in Glory, He's dwelling place is Glory. His throne is Glory. Everything around Him is Glory. He lives and dwells in Glory. 

When Stephen was being stoned till death, the scripture said, He looked up to heaven and saw "The Glory of God" that's the dwelling place of God, then He saw Jesus standing at the right hand of God. In order words, God dwells in Glory. His throne is glory. And Jesus was standing right beside the throne of God. Stephen made it known that God dwells in Glory. Hallelujah.

In our dispensation, we are the dwelling of God, we are the temple of God. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, the scripture says,

"19. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 11. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."

We are the dwelling of God, God lives in us, in order words, God's glory dwells in us, we are a carrier of God's Glory. The Glory of God that Stephen saw then now resides in you and I. We are the glory of God. The later verse says, "therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." What will not dwell in God shouldn't be found in us because we are the Glory of God. We are His dwelling and His dwelling carries His attribute which is Glory. We are His dwelling place, we are a reflection of God's Glory, so therefore, we are God's Glory.
