TOPIC: THE GLORY OF GOD: Downpour Of His Presence (3)
One Year Bible Reading:
Jeremiah 26 - 258
2 Timothy 4: 1 - 22
MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 33:18
"18. And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.
BIBLE READING:
2 Chronicles 7:1-2.
"1. Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house. 2. And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD'S house."
Thinking Point:
The downpour of the Lord is the Glory of God.
May the presence of the Lord that supersedes the presence of man abide with us today and forevermore, Amen.
The Glory of the Lord is signified by the downpour of God - the presence of the Lord. Is the atmosphere where men have no control or have nothing to do with what God is doing. When the Lord comes down in His glory we call it His presence. Remember, God is an embodiment of Glory. He is Glory personified. His face is Glory, not that it is full of glory but Glory itself. When He turns His back we behold His glory. When He comes down into our most, we experience the downpour of His glory filling everywhere. When we offer an acceptable sacrifice from a clean heart with a pure hand He descends in the form of Glory. The presence of the Lord is the Glory of God.
When King Solomon finished the temple of God, he invited the Lord to dwell in the temple and God came down in the fullness of His glory, filled the temple like a cloud and the scripture says, the priest could not perform their duties because none could step into the temple filled with the Lord's Glory, Hallelujah.
Exodus 34:8.
"8. And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped."
When the presence of the Lord fills a place, man becomes handicapped and remains submissive to His leading. No contribution from the men's axis again than to listen and obey. During the downpour of His glory in the day of Pentecost, the house was filled and the disciples couldn't move nor act on their own as the spirit of the Lord rested on everyone's head, Acts 2:1-3.
Beloved if there is anything to crave for, as believers, is the Glory of the Lord, the fullness of His presence around our lives. When He comes on us we are changed for life. The Glory of God changed Moses face and appearance before the Israelites and the world in His days. The Glory of God comes down as His presence. May we experience the downpour of God's glory upon us in Jesus name, Amen
