MEMORY VERSE:
Habakkuk 2:1.

BIBLE READING:
Luke 5:4-5.
"4. Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. 5. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net."
Thinking Point:
Our response and act to God determine what we receive from Him.
I welcome you to a week of possibilities and accomplishment in Jesus name, Amen.
This week our force is on our responses and action to God's instructions and decree, both the direct word of God and written word of God. Often God always gives us instructions by guideline or directives before we experience His miracles. Many times His instructions and directives always look opposite to what we expect. Let's imagine Peter who was a professional fisherman, who had toiled all night and caught nothing, not even a small fish, and Jesus told him to let down his net into the deep for a draught of fish. In His mind, he may be thinking, “did this fellow know who I am? Did he know how many years have been fishing at this particular river? So, he summarised all his responses in one sentence, "Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing" meaning hours have been invested and nothing to show for it. That deep you talked about, have reached there.
Many of us find ourselves in such situations that all instructions look like, "have done that countless of times", "Is not going to work that way because I am an expert in this area". Many and more responses to God's instruction has deterred Him from doing the wonders He intended doing in our lives.
Peter said, "..., nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net." Can we all move to the next phase of Peter's statement by saying, “Nevertheless, because you said it, I will try it”. "Nevertheless, because of what I have heard you do to others, I will take the step". "Nevertheless, as you've said, I will go and say it". Our responses may be bad, it may show our unbelief but our action should go along with what God is saying. Yes, what He's saying might have been done before but not by His instructions, do it when He says it. When Peter responded negatively, Jesus didn't say, since you don't believe it, the time has expired, so the fishes are gone, no, Jesus made the opportunity open till He made up his mind saying, "nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net".
Beloved, that door of opportunity is still open to act according to God's instructions. Your circumstances should not determine your action to God's word. Let your actions help your unbelief in order to harvest the promises of God upon you. Even if you don't believe, act according to His instructions and you will reap the harvest.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
