Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 43, Day 3, Tuesday, 21st October, 2025 TOPIC: OUR RESPONSE TO THE MASTER: I Have No Helper (3)

TOPIC: OUR RESPONSE TO THE MASTER: I Have No Helper (3)

One Year Bible Reading:
Jeremiah 9 - 10
1 Timothy 3: 1 - 16

MEMORY VERSE:
Habakkuk 2:1.
"1. I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved."

BIBLE READING:
John 5:6
" 6. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?" 7. The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. 8. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. 9. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath."

Thinking Point:
All excuses expire when one's time of visiting comes, only act.

The Mighty God will come our way today with the needed visitation to change our stories in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen.
In our last devotion we saw how people around us can bring to pass the intention of God without speaking a word but acting on our behalf, like what the people did by removing the stone from Lazarus's grave. In today's devotion, we focus on the impotent man by the market pool at Bethesda who encountered his miracle. Jesus visited him and recognised that he's been there for long in that situation. Then he asked him a simple question "Wilt thou be made whole?" Meaning, "Do you want to be made whole?" This is another issue we believers also have that makes us miss out opportunities or breakthroughs. The impotent man was not aware of who Jesus was, he never heard of him nor met Him for once but that wasn't the question. His reply was, "I have no helper". Jesus didn't ask him, "Do you lack a helper?" He said, "Do you want to be well?" Yes or No? But he started explaining how everyone left him alone. When people ask you questions about your circumstances, what do you do first? We look down on them, check how they are dressed, and the next word will be, "Who are you to ask me such foolish questions? Meanwhile, God sent an angel to attend to you. How do we respond when a helper appears before us unknown?

"Wilt thou be made whole?" was a simple question but he started explaining the history of how he got there. Such a miracle is not common whereby the helper has such patience to say, "Rise, take up thy bed, and walk", in the case of this man, it was the mercy of God that visited him. Thank God he wasn't an African man to ask him further, "who gave you the power to say that? But he acted, and immediately he was made whole, completely healed. I see you being healed of that constant situation in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen. A right answer and action triggers a miracle when God visits one's life. Every question asked needs the right answers and the right action. Try to always respond positively to questions not responding with further questions or history, the angel may not be ready for a long story, it's my prayer today, that when our visitation comes we will not miss out, in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen.

God Bless you and Good Morning.
