TOPIC: OUR RESPONSE TO THE MASTER: Putting God First (6)

Jeremiah 15 - 16
1 Timothy 6: 1 - 21

MEMORY VERSE:
Habakkuk 2:1.
"1. I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved."

BIBLE READING: 
Matthew 6:33-34.
"33. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."

Thinking Point:
Putting God first is the way out of every situation.

It's another weekend, every weakness is replaced with God's fresh strength in Jesus' wonderful name, Amen.
One of the greatest instructions from God that looks very simple but hard to respond to is our focus today, putting God above every other thing, seeking to please God and His righteousness. Putting every desire aside to make God the focus. It looks simple but very difficult to do. Believers put God last in all we do, we don't take things to God in prayers before we take our steps. We rush into a business plan without seeking His desires. We jumped into conclusion without seeking His opinion in what we do. Jesus said, in putting God first we get access to every other thing we crave for. Pursuing money, ambition, worrying about what to eat, what to wear and where to sleep without God is toiling in futility. Jesus said in God we can have everything if we will make Him the first.

Some believers make God first but when things get better they put Him behind and things begin to get worse day by day because God has been excluded. This is one of the reasons for many failed marriages planted and ordained by God. Businesses that started with God crumbled when God was excluded, when we began to cheat and dupe others God withdrew and complained steps in. When we choose to go for profit in an unrighteous way, God takes off His hand to see how we can make it. When God is not involved, toiling is involved. When God is excluded, wisdom to make profit in a righteous way can't be present except dubious ways. He said, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
Until we seek His will in all we do, we can't get Him meeting all our needs. Until we do things in His way struggles will continue. What is your response to the Masters instructions?
