TOPIC: HOW DO YOU TREAT YOURSELF: Discipline Yourself (5)

MEMORY VERSE: 
Mark 12:31.
"31. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none commandment greater than these."

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 39:7-9.
"7. And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. 8. But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; 9. There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?"

Thinking Point:
Discipling is one of the keys to greatness. Discipline is the mother of character.

This is the day that the Lord has made a d we will be full of Joy for the Joy of the Lord is our strength.

How disciplined are you? No one is ready for greatness without being disciplined. To be disciplined is to put oneself under control at all times. It goes beyond respecting people, it includes how we manage our time, our resources, what we lust after, what we say to people and how we treat ourselves. It extends to our spiritual lives, how we manage work and family. To be disciplined is all encompassing. Eating habits, talking habits, fashion habits and decision taking, one needs to be disciplined. When we are disciplined it's to our advantage. 

From the story of Joseph, how would it have been if he wasn't disciplined when his boss' wife lusted after him? If he had granted her wish, would he ever rise to the position of prime minister of Egypt? No. When we are disciplined, it denies us some pleasures but the gain is always far greater than the pain. Being disciplined makes you qualified for your rightful place. It also involves doing the right thing at the right time and rightly done. 

How disciplined are you? We need to be strict with ourselves in order to have a better us everywhere we go. To be Disciplined is more powerful than being anointed because anointing without discipline is failure. Learn to discipline yourself always, by doing so you are treating yourself right and positioning yourself for a better day ahead.
