Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 46, Day 3, Tuesday, 11th November, 2025 TOPIC: HOW DO YOU TREAT YOURSELF: Develop Yourself (3)

TOPIC: HOW DO YOU TREAT YOURSELF: Develop Yourself (3)

One Year Bible Reading:
Ezekiel 1- 2
Hebrew 10: 1 - 18

MEMORY VERSE:
Mark 12:31.
"31. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these."

BIBLE READING:
1 Samuel 16:17-18.
"17. And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me. 18. Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him."

Thinking Point:
Staying in a position for too long makes one redundant and loses value.

Today, every opportunity that's ordained for you and I will not elude us in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

How we treat ourselves has been our focus for the week and today, we are discussing "Developing Ourselves". It's unfortunate that many develop others, contribute to others' growth but never make any attempt to develop themself. Some believe they are too old to learn new things, acquire new knowledge or change their trade, it's time to start developing yourself. It's time to stretch yourself beyond your present ability. Start up and increase your capability. Learn new skills in your area of specification and more.

David was a Shepherd boy in the bush but chose to develop himself in other areas. Right in the bush he learnt playing harps, (instrument), using the sling, boldness in facing challenges and increased in wisdom. These qualities made Him a better person to stand before King Saul, to defeat Goliath and to reign over Israel. If King David had lived in this dispensation he would have done a lot of online courses in many fields. Your new found skills are what present you before the great, not just that usual talent. What people see in you that's different is what will make them look for you. Maybe your present situation looks like that of David who was kept in the bush while others enjoyed themselves at home, it's an avenue to increase yourself not a 'sorry/pity case'. It's an avenue to add to your CV, go for online courses, free courses or paid courses and skills that you can use in your leisure time. Develop yourself with everything around you in that bush, in that condition and you will be preferred to others. You need to increase your input so your output can be different. Look around, what do you need to develop on, your marriage, your career, your ministry, your spiritual life, your academics, I mean, your life generally? Your age isn't a challenge, your mindset is. List out those areas you need to work on yourself, stretch yourself beyond your limit, and see how far you will expand this coming year. Stop seeing reasons why it's not possible, just determine to increase your capability and you will find yourself flying high. Developing yourself is what leads to streams of income. Treat yourself better by developing yourself.

God Bless you and Good Morning.
