Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 48, Day 6, Friday, 28th November, 2025 TOPIC: WHAT REPEL GRACE? Sin (6)
TOPIC: WHAT REPEL GRACE? Sin (6)
One Year Bible Reading:
Ezekiel 39 - 40
2 Peter 2
MEMORY VERSE:
1 Corinthians 15:10.
"10. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me."
BIBLE READING:
Romans 6:1.
"1. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?"
Thinking Point:
Sin is a catalyst to God's grace. It kills Grace faster than any other act.
To our faithful God be the glory for bringing us far to the last Friday of the month of November, we ascribe all glory to Him forever more.
Grace abounds for everyone through any of the means we've studied. Grace can be forever and can also be withdrawn for some reasons. When we live in sin, grace seize. Grace is withheld in the presence of sin. If God cannot behold sin, grace can't stand with sin. That was why Apostle Paul was asking, "Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? The answer is No, the two can't walk together, one must leave for the other. Grace does not reside where iniquities rules. The two can't walk together because they can't agree.
What is sin you may want to ask.
"All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death." 1 John 5:17.
Let's meditate on these verses,
Romans 1:29-32.
"29. Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30. Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31. Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32. Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."
Time to check ourselves up if we have any of these in our lives, if yes, Grace can't abound. We will need to do away with whatever it is so we can enjoy God's Grace. No small sin, sin as no size, sin is sin. What we do that makes God turn His face away from us is sin, because He can't behold iniquity. What is that habit, that lifestyle, that behaviour that can stop the grace to flow towards us? We need to identify it and walk away from it. May God help us to realize whatever sin that repels Grace in our life and turn from it in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
