I welcome you all to 2026 Boxing Day, a day to give and make sacrifices by blessing others. I hope you will affect lives positively today in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
To end the year 2025 we have a few days to go and these days are the last days of the year 2025. Today is the last Friday of the year, glory be to the Lord most High for keeping us safe till the end of the year, Hallelujah.
It's time to begin to prepare for the year 2026, that's if you are about to start your preparation because many have already gone ahead with year 2026 itineraries. Yes, it's time to begin to count your blessings and do a summary of the year 2025. To do a check and balance to measure our accomplishments and what we would have done better in the concluding year. Our outcome should determine our next move for the year 2026. We need to get it right from now to know what our focus for 2026 will be. That led me to the topic I call "Vision 2026". What are you envisaging for the coming year? What are the plans and improvements you desire for the coming year? It's time to get things documented for 2026.
Prophet Habakkuk in our anchor scripture for the week says,
'1. I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved."
It's that time of the year to meet with God to know what He wants our year to look like, to know His plans and purpose for us in the coming year. Habakkuk went to God saying, I want to listen to God so I can know what He wants me to do ahead of time. I will hear His response to all my requests, likewise, we all need to know the mind of God for us as we move closer to the new year. Yes we have our personal plans, we have our hopes and desires but it's also good to table it before the Lord to juxtaposition it with His purpose for our lives. How do we do this? It can be achieved by presenting ourselves to God humbling in prayer, by seeking His face and will for our lives. We go to Him intentionally to present our desires to Him and also get to know what He's desires for us will be for the year 2026. Within the next few days, with a humble heart, we should be able to hear Him speak to us what His plans are and how to walk in them faithfully.
Isaiah 55:6, say,
"6. Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:"
This is the time to call on Him and seek His face, He is ready to answer you.
