Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 51, Day 7, Saturday, 20th December, 2025 TOPIC: THE STRENGTH OF THE LORD: Strength to be Swift (7)

TOPIC: THE STRENGTH OF THE LORD: Strength to be Swift (7)

One Year Bible Reading:
Micah 6 - 7
Revelation 12

MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 41:10.
"10. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

BIBLE READING:
Isaiah 40:31.
"31. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; ..."

Thinking Point:
The renewal of strength makes one become swift in all endeavours.

May we receive strength to soar like an eagle in all our endeavours in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

Today, our focus is shifting the result of strength renewal. There are three levels of strength renewal when we wait on God and the three levels are important for every believer who desires a fresh start.
The first level is the Swift Level. Prophet Isaiah called it "... Mount up with wings as eagles". This level is a level whereby one soars higher than equal by extraordinary strength. One begins to enjoy speed to overtake and accomplish faster than expected. There are times in life that all we need is to be swift to subdue the enemy and this strength can only come through God's strength renewal.

Elijah is a good example of this strength. This strength of God came upon him after praying for the pouring of rain. He mounted up as an eagle to overtake the chariot of King Ahab which should be the fastest chariot then.

"46. And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel." 1 Kings 18:46.

When God renews our strength we enjoy speed like that of an eagle, we become an overtaker in our endeavour because we are being led by the strength of God.

Philip was another example of one who soars like an eagle. In Acts 8, God directed Philip to an eunuch who was reading the book of Isaiah without understanding. Philip went into his chariot and began to expatiate the word of God to him. Along their way they found a river where Philip baptised the eunuch and the scripture says, in, Acts 8:39-40,

"39. And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. 40. But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

Philip experienced the strength to mount on eagle's wing and found himself at Azotus in a different city spreading the word of God. This first level of strength, mounting like an eagle makes you accomplish what seems unattainable to others and for God's kingdom. It can only be gotten through renewal of strength, I see us experiencing this level of strength, where no principalities will be able to access us in Jesus Mighty name, Amen. "They shall mount up with wings as eagles", that is our case in 2026 in Jesus' name, Amen.

God Bless you and Good Morning.
