Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry Mobile Daily Devotional Week 51, Day 4, Wednesday, 17th December, 2025 TOPIC: THE STRENGTH OF THE LORD: Increase Of Strength (4)

TOPIC: THE STRENGTH OF THE LORD: Increase Of Strength (4)

One Year Bible Reading:
Jonah 1 - 4
Revelation 9

MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 41:10.
"10. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 19:5-8.
"5. And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat. 6. And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again. 7. And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. 8. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God".

Thinking Point:
Increase in strength is for the weary who need a little strength to boast up.

Today, every weary soul receives an increase of strength in Jesus' name, Amen. Yesterday, we studied about Samson who fainted while being carried away doing his assignment and how his strength was renewed when he cried to God for strength. Today, our focus is "Increase Of Strength for the weary". Who is the weary? This is someone who became discouraged while carrying out his assignment for God. Discouragement may come as a result of fear, delay in response to prayer, those going through tough times like waiting mothers, job seekers, ministers waiting for God's manifestation in ministry, all of the above may become weary while waiting on For for answers of prayer. Solomon said,
"12. Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life." - Proverbs 13:12.

When hope is deferred it wears the soul, drains the strength and one becomes weak not as a result of sin or shortcoming but delay in God's response, persecution about one's faith, these are the causes of weariness.

Elijah was a man who stood before God. He was a man of prayer, a man of authority and boldness. But it came to a time he became weary through the fear of Jezebel, the Queen, after he killed eight hundred and fifty prophets of Baal and prophets of groove who ate at the table of Jezebel. Elijah ran for his life and forgot who he was. He became weary after many days and found a place to rest under the Juniper tree and demand that God kill him. But the angel of the Lord came and fed him twice which is an increase in strength and he who was tired became stronger and went for forty days and forty nights journey because God increased his strength.
"9. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God." 1 Kings 19:8.

I don't know what is draining your strength but I know God is capable of increasing your strength. Are you tired of waiting? Tired of empty promises? Being denied what's your right because of your righteous life? I see God increasing your strength till your appointed time in Jesus name, Amen. When God increases your strength no more weariness till you get to your destination, you will get there and meet up in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

God Bless you and Good Morning.
