Thinking Point:
Asking for help genuinely isn't a crime but a sign of being human.
Hallelujah! We thank God it's Friday again, all Glory be to the Almighty for bringing us this far. We give Him His due praises in Jesus mighty name, Amen. As we look up to God this day, may we not be put to shame, Amen.
Today, this is my message, "Ask For Help", don't die in silence. Asking for help is human not a sin or a crime. Requesting for the help of man is not out of place because God will never come down to do what a man can do. Yes, we pray to God for help daily, we ask Him to supply all our needs but many times we need to put our brains to work without disturbing God in heaven. One of the reasons why asking for help is out of place is when one is lazy or taken advantage of others. When one depends on others to meet their needs, living a pitied life, that is not asking for help, it's taking advantage of others. Beloved, you're not worthy to ask for help when you are not a blessing to someone. Although, it's not mandatory that you should be helped because you are a blessing to someone but where you have labour is where your help should come for. One thing about life that I have discovered is this, the more you help the more you enjoy help. The more life you influence determine how others rise to attend to your help. Looking at the story of Joseph in the Genesis 40, when he interpreted the dream of the Butler, he was using his calling to influence a life. He wasn't known as a dream interpreter until that day he encouraged Butler to tell him about the dream. After he had blessed him with his talent, he asked for help by saying,
"14. But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:" - Genesis 40:14.
This is Joseph asking for help after being a blessing to the Butler. He placed a demand on someone he has helped with his ministry. He told him to remember him and speak of him to Pharaoh when his situation changes. When you are a blessing to others it's not a crime to let them know when you need their help too, it becomes a crime when you ask daily.
God also needed the help of Angels at creation. He told them, "Let us make man in our image..." There are times in life that you need others' help, don't die in silence, don't die of ego, open up to those you have affected their lives positively. Life is in a cycle, what goes around comes around. Your gifting, talent, skills is meant to better the lives of people and in turn changes your life too. We are graced to grace each other. When you turn down people's requests for help, you are becoming an ingrate. God once told me sometime ago, He said, "when someone asks you for help, have already informed him you will help him so that a new door can be opened for you". So, we hold the key to the abundance we desire but it won't be open until we help others. So, ask for help when you need it. Ask for help, don't die in pride nor pretend to be satisfied. A laborer is worthy of His wages.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
