2 Samuel 9:1.
"1. And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?

Matthew 14:3-5.
"3. For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife.
4 For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her.
5 And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet."
Thinking Point:
Going out of your duty post is going out of your cover.
Our walk today shall be in accordance with the purpose of God concerning our lives in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen.
Putting a square peg in a round hole might work or seems good but the functionality won't be complete. A round peg is meant for a round hole and a square peg is meant for a square hole in order to accomplish one's desire. For every assignment there's a field of assignment. When we leave our field of assignments our functionality will reduce and our safety might not be guaranteed. Apostle Paul was speaking to the Roman saying,
"5. So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness." Romans 12:5-8
There is what you are called or graced to do, either in the church or as a professional or in academics, remain in that field and use it to please God. Don't do it to please people or be carried away by what others are doing. To be relevant means you are at the right place and you are functioning accordingly.
John The Baptist was called to reveal Jesus Christ to the world which he did and earn the respect of all. But he went into the calling of someone else and left the covering of God upon his life. He wasn't a judge to Herod's family nor assigned to marry Herodias but got involved in a case that was not relevant to his ministry. This led to him doubting Jesus Christ who he revealed to the world and also led to his death. Was he a prophet? Yes. Did God send him? Yes but he went out of his duty post and was caught in the web of Herodias. Focus on what you are called to do. Don't go outside your boundary, remain where God sent you.
King Saul left his duty as the King of Israel and took up the duty of Prophet Samuel and he lost the kingship over Israel, 1 Samuel 13:1-13. To be sought for this year, remain in your calling, be focused on what you are called to do and you will be searched for. Be faithful with your assignment and God will raise men to promote you.
