TOPIC: 2026, My Year To BE SOUGHT FOR: Grieve Not The Holy Spirit (10)
One Year Bible Reading:
Genesis 27 - 28
Matthew 8: 28 - 9: 1 - 17
MEMORY VERSE:
2 Samuel 9:1.
"1. And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?
BIBLE READING:
Ephesians 4:30-32.
"30. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32. And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
Thinking Point:
To enjoy God's best is to stay away from grieving the Spirit of God.
It's another wonderful Sunday. We are glad we are alive again to experience God's love over our lives, to Him be the glory for ever more, Amen.
God is good and His mercy endures forever over all believers but He hates sin, He is not happy when His children turn away from Him in the name of iniquity. Grieving the Holy Spirit of God to which our salvation has been sealed cut one off from accomplishing God's purpose in life. When we grieve the Holy Spirit, who is our guidance, how can we get things right without His leading? How do we know where to turn when we can't identify His voice? It will be like being lost in the wilderness without a compass. The Holy Spirit is our guide, our light in the darkness and we have to be right in all our walks with Him. We may be talented and skillful but when our lives are filled with those things that irritate the Spirit of God we will have no access to the best of God.
"31. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:"
When one life is filled with bitterness against one another, wrath and anger, malice, envy and evil thought against others there can't be room for the Holy Spirit to speak and lead to a purposeful life. When our heart is not pure before God, we grieve the seal of God upon us. There will be no room for the Holy Spirit to function properly and work in our favour. One's life will be like that of Cain’s life which allowed grudges and bitterness to take the better side of him and led to the death of his brother, Abel. Such life can't be used nor function for God. Apostle Paul enlightened us to "be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven us", then can we enjoy the best of God. We can then speak and stand for God. He can speak to others for our lifting and progress in life. A life filled with darkness can't shine the light of God over other lives. Run from sins that hinder the Holy Spirit from leading you. It's the Holy Spirit that speaks to others on your behalf, he speaks to those who are in need of our skills and gift. Grieve not the Holy Spirit who is our lead to fulfilling purpose with bitterness and grudges.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
