TOPIC: The Voice Of God: Be Courageous (7)

MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 30:21.
"21. And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left."
BIBLE READING:
Joshua 1:9.
"9. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."
Thinking Point:
Courage is an inbuilt force generated personally from the voice of assignment.
A glorious Saturday to you all. The Lord will reward all our efforts for this week, we will have no regret whatsoever, last hour's miracle shall locate us in Jesus’s mighty name, Amen.
Lastly for this week on the Voice of God, every assignment of God requires being courageous, it's an inbuilt energy in the face of opposition derived from the confidence of being on assignment for God. The assurance of God's voice to you is what develops this courage in you. Your encounter with God's voice is the confidence that ignites the courage to keep moving on when the road looks tough. When you lose that voice you lose your courage. When you doubt that initial voice you defeat your courage. The voice of God is what builds the confidence for your assignment and ignites the courage to stand till the end when the mountain becomes too high to scale over.
When God was speaking with Joshua to take over from Moses, God repeatedly instructed him three different times to be courageous, His exact words were,
"6. Be strong and of a good courage:"
"7. Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law,
"9. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." Joshua 1:6,7 & 9.
If you watch these verses God never said I will give you courage but "Be of a good courage" "very courageous" and lastly, "of a good courage", the courage is derived from within, from the same voice of God which put us on assignment. You build the courage yourself not God. He's assignment propels this courage from within that is why you need to be sure of who spoke with you and what the assignment was. When you miss the message of your assignment you lose the courage.
Beloved, your courage is traced to the voice that sent you on an assignment. In all you do, don't lose the voice for your assignment so that your courage can be intact. Are you losing courage already, remember the voice you heard, remember the assignment set before you. Remember that lives are at risk if you turn back and be courageous to keep moving. I say to you this morning according to the word of God, Be strong and be of good courage in your assignment.
