Not everyone that is going through pain and struggles is a sinner.
A wonderful Sunday to all our readers. We bless the name of the Lord for another productive and profitable week in our lives. God will do beyond what He has done in the past weeks in our lives this week in Jesus name, Amen.
Welcome to our new series this week on "Your Neighbour". It sounds like your co-tenant, co-worker but I bet it goes beyond that. Let us make this journey together this week as God reveals to us revelations about a neighbour.
We are starting with the topic which says, "All Victims Are Not Sinners", yes, not all people going through one challenge or the other are victims of their act. You and I know that a lot is going on in this world today where people are being set up for being good, people are being taken advantage of. Some are being robbed by co-workers who link their information to attackers. As believers, other believers set traps in the name of being too active in church and stewardship. Men of God are being tempted while some fell and some stood their ground. Likewise many are victims because of their past lifestyles, some are being punished for their actions and attitude in the past. Nevertheless we are not made the judge of any victim, Matthew 7:1. We are not called to separate a victim from a neighbour, No, we are called to love our neighbour as ourselves.
Jesus was trying to teach as usual in order to win a new soul who feels he has been righteous enough to be commended by Jesus. Jesus gave an illustration which is our focus this week. Jesus said, A Jew left his country land, Jerusalem, (maybe for a business trip, I presumed), to Jericho and was attacked, robbed and wounded and was left to die". Jesus wasn't specific if the man was being punished for his sins or deserved what he went through or whatsoever, but he used him as an example of that person going through some challenges around our house, our home, our workplace or our worship place. A victim was a neighbour before and after he/she became a victim. First thing first, we have to stop believing that every victim is a sinner neither are they being published for what they've done and if it is so, we aren't their judge, we aren't their punisher so why holding the whip in our hand to wipe them as if we were never a victim in time past? Why restrict others from stretching a helping hand towards them? Every victim today will not be a victim for life but we determine how long they remain a victim when we help or refuse to help them. Get this, every victim is a neighbour either a sinner or not. All victims need a helping hand. There are times we also became a victim of our attitude but someone stood up for us, interceding on our behalf. Why can't we do the same for others? Jesus said, it is not the whole who needs a physician but the sick - Matthew 9:12, the victim needs our help not Victor.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
