TOPIC: THE BLIND BARTIMAEUS. Don't Mind The Noise (7)

One Year Bible Reading:
Deuteronomy 1 - 2
Mark 16: 1 - 20

MEMORY VERSE:
Ephesians 5:16
"16. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days."

BIBLE READING:
Mark 10:48-49.
"48. And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
49. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee."

Thinking Point:
If God is not silencing your voice don't let men silence you.

This weekend, God will attend to our cry of help and release the help we all need by His mercy, Amen.
Today, as we move forward, I'll like to tell you, not to mind the noise against your voice. Voice out your mind to God like Blind Bartimaeus did. When he started shouting at the top of his voice, the crowd bid him to be quiet, because the Master won't hear him. They made it known to him that Jesus can't have his time, but the poor Bartimaeus refused to be deterred. They saw his request as noise and irrelevant cry and discouraged him to be silent but the more they stopped him the more he shouted until Jesus sent for him.

Do you know you have to keep praying and crying to God regardless of opposition, man's voice and discouragement? One thing to know is that God always answers the persistent, the committed and the consistent in any field. Even when your business isn't working, be consistent in it with prayers. When your marriage seems not to be what you envisioned, be consistent with it and keep praying. God listens to persistent cry not just a cry. He said to Moses, I have heard the cry of my people, Exodus 3:7. How often do we persist with our request to God? How often are we discouraged when responses are not forthcoming? Do you notice from the chapter, the same people silencing him were the same persons who said, "be of good cheer, the saviour is calling you". Those who try discouraging you will still come to celebrate with you, if you will remain persistent. Keep asking and don't quit, for God is still busy with other cases, until your cry reaches Him to stand still, then it will be your turn.

Do you remember the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15:21-28, she kept troubling Jesus for her daughter's healing. At first, Jesus ignored her. Secondly, the disciples told Jesus to send her away. Thirdly, Jesus called her a dog but her persistence changed the mind of Jesus until she received her daughter's healing. The more persistent we are in our request, business, ministry, endeavour and prayer to God, the closer we are to our responses. The longer it takes the better the response. Keep crying to God and your time will come. Don't give in to the noise of men against your cry until their voices work in favour of your cry, keep crying to God.

God Bless you and Good Morning.
