TOPIC: GOD IS AT WORK IN YOU: Be Sensitivity (5)
One Year Bible Reading:
Deuteronomy 31 - 32
Luke 6 : 17 - 49
MEMORY VERSE:
John 5:17:
"17. But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work."
BIBLE READING:
Gen. 18:1-5
"1. Then the LORD appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day. 2. So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing by him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground, 3. and said, “My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant. 4. Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree. 5. And I will bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, inasmuch as you have come to your servant.” They said, “Do as you have said.”
Thinking Point:
Sensitivity is the activating tool for God's promises.
Our God is an active God who is working on our behalf on a daily basis, we might not see Him or feel it but He is working tirelessly to bring His promises to pass in our lives. He is not a God of delay, He is timely. Just that, our time differs. He knows what He is doing. He knows when to grant our desires. He is not a wicked God. The challenge is that many whom God is working on their behalf are not sensitive to God's moves. We are not sensitive to those opportunities He is presenting before us. Some are busy protecting what they have when God is ready to visit them. Some couldn't identify God's voice, His Instructions and His leading, and they've missed their timing.
Abraham, our father of faith, was spiritually sensitive to identify the presence of God. He rushed to meet the three visitors and welcome them in. He prepared meals for them and still stood by them while eating. He knew something special was about to happen. At the end of his meeting he received the fulfillment of Isaac. What would have happened if he was not sensitive to the angels?
Many Christians today lack this sensitivity. We are not prepared for opportunities. We see things as normal and look away from opportunities. We don't recognise when opportunities come knocking. Be sensitive to everything happening around you. See how you can affect people positively. Show hospitality, be a blessing to people around you. Don't look down on people or write them off; they may be the opportunity you've been waiting for. Be sensitive to activate what God is doing concerning you. I pray for you today, you will not miss your God timing in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
