TOPIC: GOD IS AT WORK IN YOU: Learn New Things (3)
One Year Bible Reading:
Deuteronomy 28
Luke 5 : 17 - 39
MEMORY VERSE:
John 5:17
"17. But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work."
BIBLE READING:
Genesis 42:22-24.
"22. And Reuben answered them, saying, “Did I not speak to you, saying, ‘Do not sin against the boy’; and you would not listen? Therefore behold, his blood is now required of us.” 23 But they did not know that Joseph understood them, for he spoke to them through an interpreter. 24. And he turned himself away from them and wept. Then he returned to them again, and talked with them. And he took Simeon from them and bound him before their eyes."
Thinking Point:
While God is working, don't be idle either, learn something new.
The act of God shall be made manifest in our lives today in Jesus name, Amen. Since God is working things out for our good we also need to learn and study new things. A lot of Christians today have a similar story with that of Joseph, the son of Jacob. We are familiar with this story. He was sold out by his blood brothers, bought by a slave master, went into slavery, they lied against him and was finally imprisoned. Many thought that was his end. No one could have looked for him. Nobody would have remembered him. But God was working with him throughout those processes.
During those challenging times, Joseph was able to learn the language of the Egyptians fluently. He was conversant with it. Even in the prison, he interpreted the dream with the language. When he met the king, we weren't told he was using an interpreter, meaning, he spoke to the king as an Egyptian fluently. He was able to hear and speak the language that his brothers couldn't realize he was the same Joseph they sold out.
What are you learning in that challenge? God brought you through those challenges to teach you some lessons. He wants to show us new things we do not know. Are you just seeing the challenges or utilizing it to get knowledge? To some, it may be how to handle difficult issues. To some, it may be to learn patience, to some it may be to learn accountability. What are you learning with the process you are going through? That place we are now is a place to learn, not a place to complain. That's why many will go through hardship and make it, but couldn't sustain it because they've refused to learn during the challenging time. There is something God wants you to gain from that situation. Stop focusing on the negative side, try and see the positive side. Gain new experience. The examination time is coming when your experience will be tested. Open your understanding to learn new things in that situation of yours. Joseph learned the language of the Egyptian despite being sold out and jailed for no reason. What are you learning where you are that may be useful for you later? Start searching for the good in that situation you are.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
