Thinking Point:
Process every information by faith not by fear.
The glory of God shines through us today, we shall move from glory to glory in all our endeavours in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
As we continued our discussion about the Blind Bartimaeus let us move to the next principles that guarded his life. He was a man who was sensitive with the moves around him at a particular time, and he was so smart to know what to do with the present move. When we sense the happenings and get information, what do we do with it? How fast are we to take advantage of the moment we find ourselves? Some start seeing the negative side of that news. Fear of the unknown creeped into their heart about the situation and they jumped into negative conclusions. How do you handle the information you get from others?
Bartimaeus received the information and processed it with Faith not with fear or doubt. He thought about how it could work in his favour. No negative thought that Jesus can't heal him, no thought of 'I just need money from him, No, He knew that Jesus could give him his sight and he opted for it before it was too late. He could have focused on his blindness as a reason not to see Jesus but he trashed that away.
I heard a story of two salesmen who were sent to a country where people walked barefoot. One returned with impossibility idle because no one wears shoes in the country, while the other said, it's the best place to market our shoes, it all depends on how you process the information you get. Many have mishandled the right information in the past which has cost them so much losses. Imitate the Blind Bartimaeus from today on, don't be negative about any information. Moses sent twelve leaders to spy on the land of Canaan but they came back with two different reports, one born out of fear and the other out of faith, Numbers 13, what governs your heart, fear or faith, determines how you process every information. When you conclude, “it can't work for me” so be it, and if you say, “it will work in my favour” you have it, processing with fear or faith determines what you get. We need a positive mentality, Faith, to process every information before acting or reacting. Every situation is to our advantage if we process the information rightly. The blind Bartimaeus knew what Jesus could do and he processed that information by faith, that he could restore his sight also. Be positive with the way you process your information. Process every information with faith not with fear.
