TOPIC: FOLLOWING JESUS: There Is Harvest (11)
One Year Bible Reading:
2nd Samuel 4 - 6
Luke 23:26 - 49
MEMORY VERSE:
Matthew 11:28.
"28. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
BIBLE READING:
John 6:13.
"13. Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten."
Thinking Point:
Whatever you offer God with thanks returns as a bountiful harvest.
This morning, your littleness is blessed, your smallness becomes greatness, you will become a blessing to the world around you in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
When we surrender to God what we have, He returns it multiple times. When we appreciate Him for the little we have, He multiplies it. Inability to release what's in our hand to God is the main reason for lack and want. When we allow Him to take over what's ours He will never return it the same, that is the God we serve. When what's in your hands becomes useful for God He returns it with overflow.
The Fives loaves of barlay and two small fishes were supplied by a lad, a small boy whose mother deemed it fit to pack a lunch for him. I know after this miracle Jesus wouldn't let him go back empty handed. From the remaining twelve baskets the lad will have his portion because no one gives to God that will not be blessed in return. The small boy will go back home with enough loaves and fishes because he was the channel for the miracle.
Beloved, blessing others with your resources isn't a waste. That you allowed God to use what you have to meet the needs of others is a seed with many fruits in returns. I pray with everyone this morning, your harvest season is here, God is remembering all your seeds, your sacrifice, your commitment and resources which you have released to change others lives in Jesus' mighty name. You will begin to experience the overflow, running over and shacking together that will make you become the envy of the world.
Don't be discouraged when your seeds are requested to be used. Don't feel used releasing your seeds. Imagine the lad releasing those loaves and fishes to the disciples, he may feel he has been cheated. Imagine him going back home with a basket of barley, his joy will be full, likewise, don't doubt the returning of your seeds. Believe that God will bless you in return. Help the helpless, bless those in need, bless ministers and your colleagues who need assistance and God will remember you in return.
By the power in the name of Jesus, every littleness in your hands becomes greatness. What is drying in your life receives the life of God in Jesus' mighty name, Amen. Your harvest time is here in Jesus' name, Amen.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
