TOPIC: FOLLOWING JESUS: Release To Others (9)
Once Year Bible Reading:
1st Samuel 29 - 31
Luke 22: 40 - 65
MEMORY VERSE:
Matthew 11:28.
"28. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
BIBLE READING:
John 6:11.
"11. "... He distributed to the disciples, AND THE DISCIPLES TO THEM THAT WERE SET DOWN; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
Thinking Point:
"Holding back the blessings meant for others can trigger consequences."
This week, our portion will be released to us, our right will not be taken by someone else in Jesus name. Likewise, what belongs to others in our care, God will give us the courage to release them in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
Beloved, our focus today will be more directed to us personally. The lesson for today is from Jesus' Disciples, they were the link between Jesus and the multitude. They were avenues by which Jesus reached out to the crowd. They were to receive from Jesus and pass to others. The disciples never withheld what Jesus was releasing to them for others. Beloved, when you come to Jesus, He sent you back to others. You become a link between Him and the unbelievers including the young believers. We are nurtured to nurture others. We are blessed to bless others. We are lifted to lift others and we go through difficulties to help others in difficulty. We are not meant to be like graves that received and withheld without releasing it back. Believers are called to be a channel not obstruction or blockage to others. The Disciples were receiving from John Jesus and giving back to the crowds.
Jesus speaking to His Disciples in Matthew 10:7-8.
"7. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: FREELY YE HAVE RECEIVED, FREELY GIVE.”
Every spiritual gift is given and to be released freely to those who need it. Jesus said, freely have you received, freely give. We are not to be an end to God's spiritual and physical blessings, we are to pass it over. That doesn't mean you will not survive or be fed, Jesus said,
"10. Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: FOR THE WORKMAN IS WORTHY OF HIS MEAT." -
Matthew 10:10
No one worked with Jesus and remained begger, No, our needs will be met. Can you imagine the disciples withholding the loaves and fishes meant for others? What will happen to the sources? It will stop flowing from Jesus since it will stop with twelve disciples. That is what happens when you withhold what belongs to others. You will be satisfied with the little that comes first and there won't be room for others since you don't allow it to follow through you but stop with you.
Fellow Believers, how are you handling what belongs to others that's in your care? How do you treat those whom you are to bless? What God bestowed on you, does it end with you or flow to others? Will the 5,000 people be fed through you or would you starve them? God gave those blessings to us to pass it over not to end it with us. Release what belongs to others so you can enjoy yours better. Hear God's promises to Abraham and his seeds
Genesis 12:2.
"2. And I Will Make Of Thee A Great Nation, And I Will Bless Thee, and make thy name great; And Thou Shalt Be A Blessing:”
We are blessed to be a blessing, not just to be blessed. Be a blessing to others. Release their wages, their portion and their belongings, God will bring yours in due time.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
