TOPIC: JEPHTHAH: What Can You Offer? (5)

"8. Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me."
BIBLE READING:
Judges 11:6-8.
"6. And they said unto Jephthah, Come, and be our captain, that we may fight with the children of Ammon.
7. And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, Did not ye hate me, and expel me out of my father's house? and why are ye come unto me now when ye are in distress?
8. And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, Therefore we turn again to thee now, that thou mayest go with us, and fight against the children of Ammon, and be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead."
Thinking Point:
Nobody searches for you until you have something to offer.
It's another great day. This day will birth favour on all sides beyond expectations in Jesus' mighty name, What we are searching for will locate us in Jesus' name, Amen.
There comes a time when you become the need which is not available but will be searched for. Nobody is useless except those who refuse to work on themselves. When you keep tilling your ground people will look out for you. When you refuse to accept rejection you will be called upon to be a leader. The elders of Gilead searched and fetched for Jephthah, they tendered a proposal before him to come back home, not as a harlot son but as a warrior. Jephthah was surprised and ask why they came searching for him in another land after they chased him out of his father's house? and they replied,
"8. “BECAUSE WE NEED YOU,” the elders replied. “If you lead us in battle against the Ammonites, we will make you ruler over all the people of Gilead.” (NLT)
Because they needed him, meaning you are no more the same person we knew before. You have become a different person we sent packing. You have developed yourself that we can't ignore you, so we need you now to defend us from the Ammonite. I see all your down lookers returning to look for your help. I see those who hurt you, destroy your image, castigated you coming back to seek for your help in Jesus name, Amen.
Beloved, you were sent out to have the opportunity to build yourself. They throw you out in order to discover yourselves, so therefore, you need to accept the responsibility to lead when they come callinh. You must have something to offer before they locate you. You must have changed your level in order to attract them. If you still remain at the same level nobody will need you, you will rather be in need of their help, that will not be your portion. The question this morning is this? What can you offer now? What have you developed yourself on since you were chased out? What has changed about your life for good that can attract your mockers to seek for your help? God makes all things work together for our good but we also have to contribute our quota to make it work for good. What can you offer? What are the changes in you compared to years back? What will attract people to seek your help? To answer these questions, is to look at where you were before and compare it to where you are today.
