TOPIC: FOLLOWING JESUS: Jesus Cares (2)

One Year Bible Reading:
1st Samuel 11 - 13
Luke 18:15 - 43

MEMORY VERSE:
Matthew 11:28.
"28. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

BIBLE READING:
John 6:5.
"5. When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?"

Thinking Point:
Jesus knows the needs of His children before they ask because He cares.

This week, the Lord is visiting all unspoken needs, meeting every spiritual and physical longing in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Our Lord Jesus knows the desires of our heart. He knows what our needs are per time per chance. He knows our spiritual needs likewise our physical needs. He knows what the most important needs are at every moment. He will not attend to physical needs when we are in need of spiritual things and vice versa. When Jesus saw the crowd tripping towards him, He saw beyond their spiritual desires and attended to their physical needs without their request. He turned to Philip and asked, "Where can we get bread that this crowd may eat?"

Beloved, the same way He is turning to God on our behalf to present our immediate needs when we never asked Him. Jesus cares for you more than you ever think. It may look like He's not concerned but with our consistent followership He will attend to all our needs without request. Jesus wasn't negative in His thoughts. He only asked Philip to let him know His next move. He wasn't hiding His care, He spoke and acted it. The people never asked for food but He raised the issue of food. Most of the time what we present as our request isn't what we really need, so God is waiting to meet our real need, not our request.

The second lesson for believers to learn from Jesus is this, we don't need to wait for people to tender their problems before we attend to their needs as long as we sense their needs. Jesus never stressed them to listen to His message when He knew they needed meat for sustenance, No. He went straight to their needs, He asked on how their immediate needs can be met. When you see others going through specific needs, it's not the time to start preaching the gospel but a time to meet that physical need before presenting the message of Christ. You don't criticize others for wearing what they have to church, all you need is to attend to that needs. They don't need to tell you, all you need to do is to act as Jesus acted. "How can I meet this need?" "What do I have to do to meet these needs?" Jesus never asked the crowd, "What do you need?" "Can I get you food or I should preach first?" No, He met their needs. Stop pretending as if you care, show that you care for those in need. Meet needs without request. Provide for others as Christ provides for the crowd. Enough of sharing the testimony of 4,000 people was fed by Jesus, it's time for you to be the next provider for 10 persons, 20 persons, clothing hundreds, giving scholarships to one or two students instead of criticizing their parents for not sending them to school. Learn from Jesus and do the same. Show that you care and stop pretending that you care.

God Bless you and Good Morning.
