Luke 12 : 22 - 48
MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 53:12.
"12. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."
BIBLE READING:
Ephesians 2:4 - 6.
"4. But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much,
5. that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)
6. For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus."
Thinking Point:
His resurrection sets us above only not below His seat.
What is putting us under control will begin to go under our control in Jesus name, because we are meant to be above only with Christ Jesus in heavenly places.
God raised Jesus up from death and He raised us up together with Him. Jesus' duty was to come and recover sinners from this sinful world. He lay down His life for us to redeem us from the bondage of satan. He delivered us by His blood. After His resurrection, we are not left to remain where we were. He gave us power, gave us gifts, rescued us from every authority and lifted us with Him to sit in heavenly places above all authorities and powers. God united us with Jesus because He has rescued us from the powers that be and made us to sit with Christ.
Colossians 3:1-2
"1. Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
2 Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth."
Apostle Paul speaking to that effect, said our mind should be set to where Christ is seated, that is where we are seated. We should think less of things below but things above. Our mindset should be shifted to the reality that we have been raised to sit with Christ in heavenly place not in this realm again. We should see ourselves above the troubles and challenges of the world with the perspective of being seated in heavenly places. Jesus' resurrection transformed us to sit with Him in the place of power and authority. We are empowered with the power of resurrection. Our focus should be what Jesus will do in all situations. We are lifted to be in charge because we are seated in heavenly places. God set us to sit with His Son so we are His son too. Hallelujah.
