Oluboye Emmanuel Ministry© Mobile Daily Devotional Week 16, Day 4, Wednesday, 15th April, 2026 TOPIC: JEPHTHAH: Fetch Out (4)
TOPIC: JEPHTHAH: Fetch Out (4)
One Year Bible Reading:
Judges 19 - 21
Luke 14: 25 - 15:1 - 10
MEMORY VERSE:
Micah 7:8.
"8. Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me."
BIBLE READING:
Judges 11:4-5.
"4. And it came to pass in process of time, that the children of Ammon made war against Israel.
5. And it was so, that when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob:"
Thinking Point:
"If they don't reject you today they won't need you tomorrow."
A wonderful day to you again, As the day breaks forth, our light will shine for men to see and benefit from it in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
This morning, I will like to say this, if you are not rejected at a point in your life you will never be accepted later. If you are not being thrown away no one will look for you later because no one values gold before it is refined except those who understand its worth and process. You have enmity today because people can't comprehend your future. They write you off today because they don't understand your tomorrow. That is why the psalmist says in Psalms 118:22
"22. The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner."
Those that are rejected always end up becoming a saviour, be glad when you are rejected because someday, they will locate you.
Jephthah was sent packing from his family house. They forgot his existence and never cared about his survival. He was rejected because his mother was a harlot. But he refined himself, rebuilt the Jephthah they cast away, and made himself visible for the world to see. They began to hear of his report, his victories, how mighty he has become, then the Lord created a situation in Israel which only Jephthah can solve. He sent the Ammonite to wage war against Israel. They had no option but to start locating Jephthah. Those who throw you out will come searching for your help in Jesus name. They will reject their actions towards you, but don't remain the same person, improve on yourself. The scripture says "the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob:"
If I may ask, where was the elder of Gilead when his brothers thrust him out of his father's house? Why couldn't they resolve the matter between him and his brothers? Because if it was settled then Jephthah wouldn't have discovered himself and become a different person he became. The elders sent for him. Like I said two days ago, stop crying and start developing yourself. Stop seeking pity and start doing something differently. You are sent out to become a better person. You are sent packing to become the needed solution in time to come. They will send for you when you have their solution. They will locate you in that city because they will need your help, just keep working on yourself. Keep building. Keep gathering momentum and you will soon become the cornerstone.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
