TOPIC: FOLLOWING JESUS: Despise Not The Little (5)

One Year Bible Reading:
1st Samuel 18 - 19
Luke 20:1 - 19

MEMORY VERSE:
Matthew 11:28.
"28. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

BIBLE READING:
John 6:8-9
"8. One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him,
9. There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?"

Thinking Points:
Be sensitive and attentive to small inputs that can birth massive outputs.

I declare upon you this morning, you will never get it wrong again, you will get it right and make something meaningful with the right timing in Jesus name, Amen.

We have made it known that the world is filled with negative minded people around us, even Jesus, our Lord, has them around him, people without faith but fact, they are realists. People who only believe in what they see and feel. Those who dictate the future according to the present, they are more around us than those who are willing to push us further. It is our duty to recognise such persons and avoid their negative impact upon us and our dreams. We should know how to handle such people without creating scenes with them.

Jesus had Philip playing this role in His life but He never condemned him outrightly. How did Jesus handle it? He looked elsewhere for other opinions. He listened to others to get the right response. He was attentive to what others were saying. He was not distracted or gave a negative response to Philip. He kept His cool. Since He knew that was not what He needed, He proceeded to hear others' opinions.

Beloved, not everyone who gives negative advice wishes to do so but they only speak out of the abundance in the heart. They think they are helping, not knowing they are killing your spirit if care is not taken, all you have to do is to move past them. Likewise those who give positive advice may not know they are doing so or may be trying to weigh you down but it's also our duty to identify the little push we needed from all advice. Andrew's advice doesn't look positive either but Jesus saw all He needed from it. He said to Jesus,
"There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: BUT WHAT ARE THEY AMONG SO MANY?"

He was like, "but what can that do among so many?" Jesus saw positivity in it. That means, we don't need to buy bread but to multiply. Not all positive advice seems complete; you have to garnish it to become what will be useful for you. You have to ponder on it to bring out your desired purpose from it. So, it is our responsibility to recognise the little drop of positive advice, ponder on it and apply it to our desired purpose. When you keep looking out for perfect advice you will never get any until you seek for the little positive drop and work on it. Also, not every advice is a waste, turn it upside down, take what is needed and move on to the next advice. Philip's advice informed Jesus that money can't get it done, Andrew's advice says, a lad has a little here but it's too small to create a change. Jesus worked on the two pieces of advice. Not all mockery is an insult, many of it opens our eyes to what we need to work on. Pick the little drop of advice and move on. Search out the little positive in that reproach and work on it to achieve your dream.

God Bless you and Good Morning.
