TOPIC: GOD'S SPOKEN WORDS: We Are Protected (7)
One Year Bible Reading:
2 Kings 10 - 12
John 10: 1 - 16
MEMORY VERSE:
2 Corinthians 4:13.
"13. We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I Believed, And Therefore Have I Spoken; We Also Believe, And Therefore Speak;"
BIBLE READING:
Psalms 121:2-5.
"2. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
3. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand."
Thinking Point:
We are under God's watch Day and Night, exempted from evil.
No matter the situation around our life we are exempted from every form of evil because He who watches over us neither sleep nor slumber. Hallelujah! God, our maker, is our saviour, deliverer, protector and helper. In the world over billions of souls live and exist but our creator knows us by name, by location and by situation. Many run up and down for protection and security but those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion which can not be moved, but abides forever, Psalm 125:1. Why? Our saviour neither sleep nor slumber. He keeps watching even when we are down, feel lost and hopeless, feel weary and fainting. He is standing by us when we feel neglected and rejected. Get this right, facing a situation in a moment doesn't deny God's presence around us. Opposition is proof that God is with us, not against us.
The Psalmist says,
"3. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber."
To slumber is as a result of tiredness, weariness, feeling sleepy but the Bible tells us in Isaiah 41:28,
"28. Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, THE CREATOR OF THE ENDS OF THE EARTH, FAINTETH NOT, NEITHER IS WEARY? THERE IS NO SEARCHING OF HIS UNDERSTANDING.
He who is weary will slumber and sleep off, but our God, because of you and I, neither faints not go weary. Hallelujah. We are under His watch day and night. Yes, someone is watching over us that is why we keep prevailing over situations in life. We may lose some battles, fail some races but here we are, still living and serving God, why? Because He is watching over us. God neither sleep nor slumber serves as a profound reminder of God's constant, unwavering vigilance over His people. While humans constantly grow weary and require rest, the Creator of heaven and earth is always awake and attentive, shielding, guiding, and protecting us day and night. But God is not sleeping isn't an absence of challenges but a proof that God is awake to deliver us. In that confusion of yours, God is not sleeping, He is giving you victory, open your eyes and hear to see and hear Him. Be vigilant to know His ways concerning you. He doesn't let one down. He upholds. Read the whole chapter of Psalms 121 and personalise it. Read it until you hear what He is dropping into your Spirit because what He says, He can't withdraw, He meant it and He is working with it. We are being watched over by God.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
