"2 So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for47 you? Tell me, what do you have in the house? And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil."
Thinking Point:
Everything big comes from something small, stop seeing things as little.
Today, as we find rest from the hustling of the week, may the Lord open our eyes to see that greatness in that littleness of ours, give us the grace to develop it and to enjoy the fruit thereabout in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
"..., And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil."
No child is born big physically. No tree starts big. Everything begins small. Before you count a billion you start from a hundred. Skyscrapers start from the foundation not from the top. Stop looking at what you have as small. Stop looking down on your ability, you just need to grow it. Nothing is small, until you appreciate what you have, you might not know the worth. Many of us believe we are created inferior compared to others but that's not the truth. Other people only appreciate what they have and make use of it. We focus on what others have,what they've nurtured that has become big and compare ours that we've never developed and call it small, nothing is small, every bigness resides in smallness.
The widow responded to Prophet Elijah saying, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.” That jar of oil is not nothing, it is your tool to get to the top. Identify it and utilize it. What do you know hoGod5r do? What are you good at? What's the difference between you and others? What do others love about you? What makes you special? Why do people prefer you in a particular area? That's a pointer to your Jar of oil. That's what God5 has designed to change your life with. Locate it. Search it out and start functioning with it. The widow didn't realise she has what will end her reproach and pay all her debt until the Man of God pointed to it.
Father, Open us up to search and see and make use of our uniqueness in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
