TOPIC: STUDY ON 2 KINGS 4: WHO DO YOU CRY TO? (5)
One Year Bible Reading:
2 Kings 23 - 25
John 13: 31- 14: 1 - 14
MEMORY VERSE:
2 Tim. 2:15
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
BIBLE READING:
2 kings 4:1
"1 A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the LORD. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves”.
Thinking Point:
You can only harvest from the field you've sow.
It is my pray for everyone today that God will give rest, hear your prayers and wipe your years away in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
"A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying,"
Today, we will be considering where and who do you run to in times of help. Who comes to your mind is a product of where you've sown your seeds. A farmer will never go to others farm land when it's harvest time if he does it's called stealing, that is how it should be for every believer in times of challenges. The question is, do you have who to cry to? Do you have good record with anyone who can be of help in times of trouble? Have you sown seeds that can yield harvest in harvest time? Even God will not listen to people who turned their back on Him after He blesses them. Where have you invested your time, strength and energy that you can run to in times of need?
The widow went to the man whom they've sown their seeds into His ministry. A man they've served before the death of her husband. And because of their services the Man of God couldn't turn her down. They have served God through him and they need to harvest. God instructed him on how to meet the woman's needs.
Can God intervene when you are in need or faced with reproach? Can you speak to God and He will answer you? Yours might be your neighbour, coworker, family, friends, servant of God, church members or your in-laws, who can you cry out to for help? The first person to run to is God whom you most have served and walked with diligently. Prophet Elisha stands as God in the case of this widow. If you can't find anyone to cry to, please change your attitude. Change your way of life. Begin to affect lives positively ahead of the days of challenges because challenges will surely come but overcoming it depends on how you've sown your seeds. When everyone turns you down God can't turn you down but He will still have to use someone to meet your needs, be good by showing good seeds into others lives.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
